    I’m Rob, your new Reading correspondent. I’m just dropping a line to say I’m glad to be a part of the team that will, in my mind, bring you the most comprehensive and thoughtful coverage that you can find anywhere around.

    First Energy Stadium in Reading, PA is about 20 minutes from my house. I know the way to get there like the back of my hand. It’s going to be really exciting in Reading this summer, as many of the Phillies top minor-leaguers look to continue their progress en route to an emergency or September call-up. I look to provide you all with lots of first-hand accounts of things that I see that numbers simply can’t tell — things like bat speed, base-running ability, and pitch recognition for hitters and arm action, deceptiveness, and grittiness for pitchers.

    It should be a fun spring and summer, and I hope you guys enjoy my writing. If there’s something you’d like for me to do or a suggestion for improvement, drop me a line at leadrole.inacage@yahoo.com
