I was going to just wait till tomorrow for this, but might as well go for it today. First, Adrian Cardenas was named the 13th best prospect in the Sally League, hats off to him. Second, here was the voting breakdown for the #4 spot
Costanzo: 23
Outman: 15
Drabek: 6
Marson: 5
Carpenter: 4
Donald: 3
Happ: 2
Brown: 1
And here’s a reminder for the eligibilty
For the purpose of this poll, consider “eligibility” to be less than 50 AB/25 games for a position player, and less than 25 IP/20 games as a pitcher.
So, here is where a few other guys stand
Mathieson: 37 IP. Not eligible
Zagurski: 25 G. Not eligible
So far
01. Carlos Carrasco
02. Adrian Cardenas
03. Joe Savery
04. Mike Costanzo
Vote away for #5.
I’m debating about Carpenter and Donald. I’m not so sure about Carpenter’s stuff, but Dude won 19 games. I’m going to assume he has a little Kendrick in him and just has a lot of poise and that he “knows how to pitch.”
Then there’s Donald, with an OPS right around .900, which I believe led all Phillies minor leaguers. He definitely did a lot to increase his stock this year, did better after he was promoted, and played on a championship team.
I’m going with Donald at #5, but not by much.

Ok it has to be Outman for #5! Right? I mean who else could you think is higher? He is young, left handed, and his name is Outman!

I’ll keep picking Marson until a plurality of you agree with me 😉

Outman is #5. Sky is the limit with his stuff. If he could only control his pitches.

Outman was my 4 pick so….

Sticking with Outman. He gets a bump for being a southpaw with good stuff; now all he needs to do is harness it.

Outman is #5 IMHO, but Happ is interesting. He’s one of these guys who could come out of nowhere and win 15 games (from my mouth to God’s ears).

Going with Donald again think hes just gonna keep improving.

Outman. He was my number 4 so he has got to be number five also.

Outman was my #4 so he should get the #5 spot. However I’ll continue to disagree with those that place Costanzo at #4. When BA puts out their organizational Top 10’s you’ll see that I am correct. 😉 I honestly believe Outman should have been #4 then I’d be lobbying for Drabek at this spot…oh well, Outman today, Drabek tomorrow.

I am a Brad Harman guy. This guy had his coming out the second half of the season in High A and came up big in the FSL finals. Started out as a short stop last year, then moved to second. Now with the lack of ML talent at third in the system he is moving there. Brad is moving around the infield just like another Phils third baseman from the 80’s.
