Welcome to the Reader Top 30. For those not familiar with the process a new poll goes up every day Monday until Friday. At the end we will solicit everyone’s personal Top 30s, talk breakout and sleeper prospects, and the writers here will give their personal Top 30s. For those wondering we go to 30 because it is the industry standard set by Baseball America, also as voted by you we will maintain Baseball America’s standards as well which means any player eligible for rookie status will be listed, this includes Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez, Ethan Martin, and Cesar Hernandez. Reader Top 30 Primer
One of the unique things about this blog has been the reader Top 30 where each of you gets to take part in the ranking process. In the past we have had problems with voting integrity and we are working on fixing those holes.
The rankings themselves will start on Monday January 6 with the #1 prospect in the system. Until then, here are two polls to test out the new voting system (it may appear to let you vote multiple times but it should only count your vote once)
