Sad, sad week for the Reading Phillies. The Phils played 7 games, and lost, you guessed it, 7 games. When the offense managed to score some runs, the pitching was horrible. And, when the pitching was excellent, the offense was putrid. All in all, it was a perfect storm for an incredibly embarassing week. Lets move on and highlight some of the prospects at Reading, who for the most part, had bad weeks.

Reading Phillies Weekly Report (8/6-8/12)
It is a bit sad to write about the Reading Phillies these days. Many of the prospects who started the year at Reading have moved on, either through promotions, trades, or the Olympics. However, we are left with a few nice prospects at Reading, mostly arms, who might be able to help the big league club in the near future. Which is nice, because they aren’t helping the Reading Phillies at the moment, as the club lost 5 of 7 games on the week, mostly because of a putrid offense which scored only 24 runs in the 7 games. Let’s highlight some of the prospects and take a look at what they have done…
Reading Phillies Weekly Report (7/30-8/5)
Time for another Reading Phillies weekly report. Lets start off with a bit of a summation. Josh Outman, traded. Lou Marson, olympics. Jason Donald, olympics. Antonio Bastardo, injured. What does that leave? Well, apparantely not much, if we are to judge by the Phillies 1-6 record on the week. Anyway, believe or not, there are still several interesting players at Reading, headed by an impressive group of young pitchers. Lets take a look…
Reading Phillies Weekly Report (7/23-7/29)
Very busy and productive week for the Reading Phillies. The Phils performed at their best this week as they sent there two Olympic respresentatives off in style, going 5-2 on the week, while beating up on the likes of New Britain, New Hampshire, and Harrisburg. Instead of doing the game by game recaps, lets take a look at what our best prospects did on the week.
Reading Phillies Weekly Report (7/16-7-22)
Another bad week for the Reading Phillies. The team not only lost 5 out of 7 games on the week, but also lost an excellent prospect in Josh Outman. I wish Outman the best of luck in what looks to be a very promising MLB career. Even though Outman is gone, the Reading Phillies still have plenty of prospects that look to help the big league club in the near future. Lets take a look at the game recaps…
Reading Phillies Weekly Report (7/9 – 7/15)
The Reading Phillies had a tough week, dropping 4 out of 6 games to skid into the all-star break at 39-56. It was an unusual week, with lots of player movement and awkward scheduling due in part to the futures game held Monday at Yankee Stadium. There was also a Brett Myers sighting this week, so lets get to all of the action in the game recaps…

Reading Phillies Weekly Report (7/2 – 7/8)
Time for another Reading Phillies weekly report. Just like last week, the Reading Phillies managed to go 4-3 on the week, to climb all the way up into a tie for fourth place in the Eastern League Southern Division with a 37-52 record. Goodbye, cellar. I guess I should not get to excited, however, since we only hold a one-half game lead over the last place Erie SeaWolves. I am a bit short on time this week, so I am only going to give the game recaps. Hopefully, some interesting prospect talk can be started in the comments. Thanks for understanding.
Reading Phillies Weekly Report (6/25 – 7/1)
The Reading Phillies had a nice week, going 4-3 to up their record to an unimpressive 33-49, which is good for last place in the Eastern League Southern Division. There were a few notable performers throughout the week including Durbin, Bisenius, Outman, and of course, Slayden. First, lets get caught up on what took place during the week in the game recaps.

Reading Phillies Weekly Report (6/18 – 6/24)
Hello, everyone. This is my first report on the Reading Phillies. Hopefully, many more will follow. I am far from experienced when it comes to writing posts, so, if anyone has any suggestions I would be thrilled to hear them. I hope you enjoy the weekly reports on the Reading Phillies, which will usually be posted on Thursday of every week. Lets get to it…
The Reading Phillies won 3 and lost 5 on the week, dropping their record to an Eastern League Southern Division worst, 29-46. Luckily, the minor leagues are about the prospects and not the standings. Several big name prospects, most notably pitchers, had good weeks. Here are the game by game recaps.
