Biddle will fit in nicely with Lee and Hamels. At least he’s getting used to no run support and losses now. SMH

Is it common for a team to have 3 starting lefties ?

Throw in Lannan and we four of a kind.

Don’t forget about Adam Morgan. He and Biddle could arrive together.

Hewitt is actually lower on the K’s list than i think we all thought he would be going into the season.

Nice that Dugan is second on both OBP and SLG. This has been a break-out season for him.

Do the Phillies have the worst power hitters in the minors as an organization?

No, Lakewood and Lehigh Valley are two of the hardest parks in the minors for HR power, Reading and Clearwater are very good for power in their respective leagues, and Williamsport is neutral. I don’t know about on the org player side but for prospects, between Franco, Dugan, Cozens, Green, Altherr, Perkins, Asche, and Ruf you ahve some guys with at least average power. It isn’t a system of mashers like the Cubs but I would say they are overall middle of the road it just looks bad because they really lack in true corner OF/1B prospects.

What’s legitimately concerning though are the very low BB totals.
We talk a lot about how the organization under values BBs,and I think this is circumstantial evidence that they do. Either by talent selection, or coaching regarding approach, or both.

Again Larry perhaps it would better to illustrate your point by comparing the Philadelphia’s minor league BB rates vs other org rates. By levels or by overall totals.
