Apparently Fangraphs follows the guys that are “fringe prospects” weekly. Fringe, for the point of this article, is a guy that wasn’t in any preseason Top 100 list, but is having a good year. Franco is obviously one of the focal points:

Is the concussion the cause for all of Joseph’s woes this season

He was off to a poor start pre-concussion, but that could just have been a slump. If he is having trouble seeing the ball and is not fully recovered, then he should not be playing. It makes it harder to avoid being beaned and another head trauma could really mess him up. There seems little benefit in playing him now.
