–In his last 13 games between Reading and Lehigh Valley, relief pitcher Mike Cisco has allowed just 2 ER in 32IP.

John Suomi has hit in 13 of his last 16 games and is at over .400 during that time period.

Injuries: Derrick Mitchell remains on the DL with a broken wrist and will miss another 3-4 weeks.  Domonic Brown remains on the DL with a knee issue and has begun very limited baseball activities.  I wouldn’t expect to see him before the all star break.  Starting Pitcher Matt Wright was placed on the DL last Wednesday with shoulder inflammation.  No new update on his status.

  1. J.C. Ramirez looking more and more comfortable in the relief role, striking out more than a batter an inning since being called up to LHV. Do I dare dream of a day two years from now where Cliff Lee hands the ball to Ramirez and Aumont in the 8th and 9th?

    1. Sure, why not? I also dream of Ryan Sandberg taking the ball from Lee and handing it to Ramierez and then Aumont….next year, if not sooner.

        1. Funny in a sarcastic way…however thinking Honcho meant Citizens Bank vs Coca-Cola Field.

    2. I think Ramirez is going to up sooner rather than later. Aumont isn’t looking anywhere close, which is fine, sometimes the big guys take a little bit longer.

  2. If the team ends up in sell mode, I think both will be up in August or September for sure.

  3. JC blew the save tonite — served up a meatball & gave up a 2 run bomb..

Ends up winning the game because of the LV offense and Friend coming up with the save

  4. What does Friend throw, and how fast does it get to the plate? The guy was unhittable in AA, and his last two appearances for LV he’s been lights out, too. Only bad outing of the year was his first AAA appearance-chalk it up to nerves, I think.
