Hot or Not

Quick Hits: Dave Bush had about as good a week as you can have while Jesse Biddle has come around to give us exactly what has been expected.  On the other side, Brody Colvin continues to disappoint and some troubling numbers from Trevor May as AA hitters get a second look at him.

–It is time to notice Tyler Knigge who has been excellent all year for CLearwater.  BJ Rosenberg should start receiving some close attention as well, considering the Phils porous bullpen situation.

–Low draft pick Carlos Alonso has been absolutely crushing the ball through close to 100 AB’s for CLearwater.

Anthony Hewitt, after his special guest appearance on the Hot list, returns to the Not Hot list. Gauntlett Eldemire has started appearing there consistently as well.

  1. Too bad to see Altherr on the Not Hot list. He had started pretty well. Hopefully he can get himself straightened out soon.

  2. I think a huge addition who have been extremely consistent is Campbell. Money as a closer.

  3. Gregg – Really like this feature, however I have one small request. If you could add the dates for which the stats are reflected I would really appreciate it. Something like Hot or Not (Games 5/15-5/22). Thanks and keep up the great work with the site!

  4. I like seeing all those lefty starters on the hot list: Misch (not so much), Biddle, Capt. Morgan, Wright and Lino Martinez. Ethan Stewart was there early in the year and has cooled off. Douglas Parada (19 y/o) and Sergio Velis (17 y/o) also look like promising lefties.

  6. I had such high hopes for Eldemire… Hopefully this long stretch is related to the 2 years off but he’s already old for that level…
