  1. Diekman came on with 2 on, two out in the 9th, game tied. Got the 3rd out, pitched a scoreless 10th, and ended up the WP on a Pence walk-off homer.

  2. I guess Joe is just traveling with the team for now and hasn’t been placed on the active squad until they know something definitive about Worley beyond the fact that he has a sore elbow. I with they’d leave Joe up in the big time and move out is Valdez, or Sanches? Not sure which retread lefty is still up there but why not kept Joe cause at least he can pinch hit?

  3. Worley is not starting tomorrow…….I guess we will see Kendrick………Diekman will NEVER see LHV again unless he goes there on vacation……he is this year’s Bastardo……………if he was up sooner we may have won another game or two……….he now gives Dubee a 3rd guy out of the pen he can TRUST in a close game late.

  4. Cloyd only went six innings. One has to believe his next start is in the majors.

      1. That’s a great idea. Let’s call up Cloyd the day after throwing 6 innings in Lehigh Valley to start is first major league game with no rest. Brilliant!

        1. I assume Wheat meant that the Phils should have called up Cloyd to pitch today INSTEAD of pitching for LHV last night.

    1. Cloyd got into some jams but was able to get out of all of them and then he seemed to settle down later in the game.

Also on a side note, during the game they said that Aumont is having back spasms but has been throwing on the side and hopefully will be able to pitch soon, and for Brown he re-injured himself but is able to hit if they need him and shouldn’t be out for much longer.

  5. Watched the replay of the Phils game…Diekman was filthy…Cloyd has been a great story this year. I would like to see him get the shot in Philly this year. Some great numbers 7-0 1.24 ERA. He has only allowed 34 hits in 51 innings and 8 walks.

    1. Totally agree but they’re not paying KK $4million to allow someone not even on the 40-man roster take his spot starts.

  6. AGREED Bob you never know which kk is showing up. If he is off the game is over fast. Diekman was impressive especially his attitude.

    1. I really think Cloyd could be a guy that the first time through the league he would have some good success. Even if not sustained at that level long term, it would be nice to reap the benefits of it this season.
