  1. Remember a Michael Taylor interview last year in Williamsport. He said that 6 or 7 players on that team were ML prospects. Though he did not mention any names he must have been refering to himself, Dominic Brown, Freddy Galvis, Joe Savery, Drew Naylor and maybe Matt Spencer, D’Arby Myers, and Michael Durant. Other than D’Arnaud not too many other ML prospects were on the 08 team. Probably more ML prospects on the GCL Phils this year who made major contributions such as Valle, Castro, Garcia, Collier, Slate, Knapp, May, Simon, maybe Flande.

  2. Nice work this season, cody.

Rickey, while the positional side apart from d’Arnaud doesn’t look that great, there were a number of pitchers that qualify as prospects and have a shot as future major leaguers. Stutes, Cisco, Schwimer, Rosenberg, and de Fratus are all pretty good prospects. And guys like Roth, Cloyd and Ellis have varying degrees of potential, probably as relievers, going forward.

Obviously we’ll separate the wheat from the chaff next year at Lakewood and beyond, but it’s not all bad news.
