  1. Great report on a team that not only has had a bad week & a bad year but has so few legitimate prospects. Tough Job!!

Good to see Bisenius showing some improvement. Two years ago he was one of my favorites.

I was sorry to see the Phils demote Cervenak. I would have preferred them to trade/release Taguchi. I’m sure that Mike could do at least as good of a job pinch hitting and even though he is not a great defensive player, he has to be better than Howard; that assumes that the Phils ever get a reasonable lead again!

Not sure why, but I am taking the family to see the Pigs play on Wednesday. I hope that our 2 little guys get to see a good game.

  2. Cervanek is a pure hacker, which is somewhat entertaining to watch, but its not surprising he didn’t get much of a look in Philly. Since hes on the 40 man, he’ll probably be back in September.

  3. Who would have more value to the team in September: Cervanek or Watson? I assume Jaramillo will come up also and/or maybe Marson.

  5. The Paw Sox play by play guys couldn’t get over Carrasco. Mid game they compared him with Phil Hughes as the best young pitchers they have seen all season. By the 7th just before Carlos was pulled they said he was the best young pitcher and were amazed he was still throwing 93-94 in the 7th.
