Another very close 3 way vote yesterday, with Joe Bisenius edging ahead of Quintin Berry and D’Arby Myers. Will it be a tossup between those two today, or does a guy like Drew Naylor or Freddy Galvis sneak in? Vote away.
01. Carrasco
02. Cardenas
03. Savery
04. Costanzo

06. Carpenter
07. Marson

17. Bisenius
And here’s a reminder for the eligibilty
For the purpose of this poll, consider “eligibility” to be less than 50 AB/25 games for a position player, and less than 25 IP/20 games as a pitcher.
So, here is where a few other guys stand
Mathieson: 37 IP. Not eligible
Zagurski: 25 G. Not eligible
Freddy Galvis. I had Galvis narrowly over Myers yesterday, so no reason to change my vote today. Other guys that I would consider in this range are Naylor, Travis D’Arnaud, and Heitor Correa. Julian Sampson probably has the talent to be considered here also, but 2 IP is just not enough to make any judgements.

I’m going with Naylor again. Dramatic jump in ’07 vs. ’06 performance. Great K rate and good physical makeup.

Ahhhh, I wanted to be the first to bring up Correa.
I’m going with the Brazilian here; his numbers from the second half were phenomenal, and they almost eerily mirror Carrasco’s age 17 year in the GCL.

Karl Bolt. Big hitting 1B from Air Force. In SS GCL, lead the team in most offensive categories. HR, 3b, RBI, TB’s, AB’s, G’s, OPS. I think we need to start getting some hitting back in this line-up, especially with power. Worried about everything I’ve been reading about long term viability of Howard staying on board. Bolt’s college stats were huge, in a tough conference. I think he played against Quitin Berry.

Bolt and Naylor are both promising, but I’d go with Berry first. He’s shown something at a higher level. But I like Bolt and Naylor too. Myers may end up being great, but he was pretty bad last year so I’m not sold yet.

Take a look at Bolt’s OPS numbers for the past five years, as well as HR count. I don’t think he was drafted out of HS, but started all four years in D1.

I liked what I saw last week in Clearwater at FIL, but still too early to vote for this kid.

Well, when you wait this long to vote, it becomes a matter of having to decide between Berry and Myers. I’m not thrilled about Berry, but i’ll take him. Obviously Myers has a shot at blowing him out of the water, but hasn’t shown thats going to happen yet.
