      1. Cozens can’t play CF, and he wasn’t going to start over Harper or Cutch/Dickerson. So he was going to be the 4th OF? LH pinch hitter. I wish Cozens good luck but if he wanted steady playing time, it was going to be elsewhere.

      2. I doubt that Cozens will haunt the Phillies. Against MLB pitching, his contact issues outweigh his power potential. Besides, the Phillies don’t have a good place for him. At best, he would be a one-trick pony bench guy.

  1. Stobbe finishes with 14 homers, that’s not bad. The 210 wasn’t good but it’s something to build on next year. His prospect light is dimming though.
Seabold with two excellent starts heading into the playoffs. Reading looks primed for Wednesday’s start of the playoffs (our only playoff team now). They reached 80 wins which is terrific. Go Fightins

    1. Stobbe is an interesting case, in his last 28 days he’s slashing .263/.306/.425/.731

He slow but seems to slowly have improved each month.

      April – .143/.250/.265/.515
      May – .180/.231/.410/.641
      June – .216/.333/.365/.698
      July – .208/.329/.444/.774

      1. Stobbe intrigued me when he was first drafted and shortly thereafter. Now, I see him as just one among countless young kids in the Phillies system who have virtually no projection other than organization filler. Otherwise he would have at least reached Clearwater by now, if not Reading.

All HS position player picks outside the first round but in the top 4/5 rounds after after their first round pick.
Quinn looks to be the only one who will have some success right now.

Whereas as the Dodgers…..Bellinger and Verdugo…both HS picks after their first round selections….and have success
They did miss on Valentin, Santana , Justin Chigbogu ,Jared Walker and Mitchell Hansen,
          .
So sometimes it is a matter of luck.
JRoll and Scott Rolen were huge Philly successes.
