  1. Will Susdorf ever get the chance as a 4th outfielder? He has hit pretty well at every level. I know he doesn’t show much power but I will take a guy that puts the ball in play and hit in the gaps. Next year would he be much of a downgrade from Ibanez? On balance, I have not seen him play since he was in college but I would just like to see a homegrown hitter get a chance next year instead of wasting money on a low ceiling veteran.

Off subject…the price for Hunter Pence has become too high. I like Pence alot but our two tops prospects, plus? My gut says we are not only buying high but we are buying AOL stock before the tech crash. Just say no and get a Jeff Conine-like fill in. He was great when we picked him up in our pennant run a few years back. I guess the question is ..where is the next Jeff Conine???? Hopefully Mathieson is including in any package so that we can stop talking about him…and I wish him lots of success.
