Carpenter is on the 40 man so he could be a potential call up for the phills as well without sacrificing anyone of it.

I’m a little disappointed that Taylor’s not with the big club, but, who knows, maybe they’re waiting to see what he does before they make a final decision. I am publicly going on the record, however, and saying, without hesitation, that Taylor is MUCH better than any other option that we currently have for a right-handed hitter/guy off of the bench. He could be their secret weapon for the playoffs. And, with the Ennis wild card roster spot, this move is feasible.

I’m surprised the big club hasn’t added Tracy but they’re sending Matheson to the AFL where he can continue to pitch. They’ll likely add Q Berry after Reading wins. Nice to see they added Taylor who I assume is healthy enough to finally play and get a few more at bats. Taylor and Brown in the playoffs together for what hopefully will be the first of many times.

Now they just need to make room for Mathieson…

A little surprising they release Lopez when they need another starter with Happ hurting. Kendrick will be starting a couple of times with doubleheaders coming up. I guess he’s earned another chance.
