floyd is a younger bronson arroyo load your lineup with lefties and tee off. he destroys the assertion that you add a run to any pitcher in the national league. kendrick while at one time is owed a great thank you will not be back. btw college bb games are being aired on cn 8.

I don’t think the comparison between kendrick and durbin is fitting. Durbin throws with a lot of 2seam rotation which moves into righties hands and away from lefties. When Durbin struggled during this past year, the reason was he was throwing from too much over the top. That is exactly the way Kendrick always throws.

Once other teams are able to pick up on Kendrick’s mechanics and movement on his pitches, he becomes extremely hittable. Maybe if he is able to develop another solid pitch you could try him in the pen but at this point I don’t even think he is ready for the major leagues.

I am for trying kendrick as a reliever. let him add a few mph’s to his fastball and then he can just worry about developing one other pitch. let him take over to chad durbin’s spot in the pen in a couple years. i love the comp between the 2
