Joey you seem to get pretty excited over small sample sizes. Clay Harris is a non prospect, and Garcia is a 20 year old at AA. Pretty impressive, no? Have you looked at Michael Taylor's last 20 games?

I have read all about Reading's week and the name I seemed to have missed is Clay Harris. This is the guy who tore up Clearwater and then two weeks got promoted to Reading where as of tonight he is hitting about .350. What I like is the kid gets promoted and his strike out rate goes down rather than up. And he gets a lot of walks. He knows the strike zone which is refreshing for our teams. I also think he has more power than he is showing right now. I think heis the jewel in the farm system. I rate them as our top two position prospects (where will they play Harris?) Harris #1 and Marson #2. You can take Donald, Golson and maybe Sleyton as the #3. to me Golson simply strikes out too much. Donald is a comer but how far I can't tell. Sleyton might be some help as a bench player in the majors. Other than that, who is there? Michael Taylor has disappointed after a huge Lakewood trip. Clearwater is still difficult for him and it shouldn't be. Not if he is as good as I thought. Anyway, give him another two weeks and see if he takes off. One can only hope.

Pitchers? I see Happ this year and after that a wing and a prayer. Carrasco is still up and down. Garcia has fallen on his face at AA as did Carpenter. Bastrado is hurt but he has a long way to go before they even know what they have in him, if anything.

I don't think Castro is real. Brummet is a middle of the rotation prospect who has to do more at Reading. His comannd needs to get better and he is already 25.

Savery has turned it around at Clearwater and maybe should bounce up to Reading in a couple of weeks and test the waters there. He is a real propsect as is (in my opinion) Drew Naylor. Monasterious has taken a step backward. Carpeter failed once but will get another shot but he has that one strike against him.

Not much anywhere.

And the big team is swinging like a bunch of little leaguers. Oh man, it hurts to be a Philadelphia fan.

Maybe he was reading the blogs during his time off/injury and realized that everybody was right and that was what he needed to do. If this fling becomes a long-term affair, we may have a stud on our hands.
