Yeah, sorry ’bout Freddy. :) OK, I’ll give him credit for that deal, and the ThomeRowand deal was good all-around, despite how much Sox fans mourn the loss of Rowand.

Well, one could say the peanut vendors in the stands “helped” us win two years ago too. :) Call me old fashioned, but personally, I give the credit for the title to the coaches and players.

Anyway, this is a Phillies blog, so I won’t bemoan the Sox GM further. Although I will ask, how’d you like the 2 former Chitown southsiders stickin’ it to the northsiders today? :)

I don’t think it’s any mistake that we’re leading the league in runs scored under his leadership. Cleveland did the same thing when he was their hitting coach and developed a ton of great hitters. If Gillick decides to bring in a new manager after this year, he needs to give Manuel a cushy high paying job teaching Phillies minor leaguers how to hit.
